Susan Kushner Wolfson, LMSW

Susan has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.S.W. degree from University of Buffalo. She has 28 years of experience in individual and group counseling. Susan began her career as a case manager and therapist for at-risk families in Manhattan and in Western New York. Susan spent the next part of her career in the domestic violence field, first as a staff supervisor in a large domestic violence shelter in New Jersey, then running a domestic violence outreach program in Niagara County. Susan has continued to work with individuals who are struggling with abusive situations and has experience and knowledge in the area of narcissistic abuse.

 Her specialties areas also include parenting and adult mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulty. Susan has been in a private practice since 2007 at Audubon Counseling working with older teens and adults with a focus on meeting her clients where they are and allowing the client to set their own goals. Susan believes that a trusting, supportive relationship between the client and therapist is the key for clients to begin to heal and recover.
